Application: Onion Conveyor

Problem: Onions are conveyed through an onion finish topper machine, where the tops are cut off. The customer was using a competitor's Twin A profile for the prototype and it was not working. The customer could not use the installed tension as recommended because the shafts were not heavy enough.

Solution: After reviewing the application, Fenner Drives recommended a completely new profile. To answer the installed tension problem, we use post-curing processing.

• Post-curing processing provides the right amount of tension.
• Able to achieve customer requirement of approximately 90% accuracy in cutting
