Application: Clay Pipe Extrusion Machine

Problem: This clay extrusion machine manufactured underground pipes and used four F Section Dixel ropes, each 7.5 meters in length. The drive has fixed centres and is captive, so fitting replacement belts at the right tension involved a two-day process of stripping down and rebuilding the drive.

Solution: NuTLink was specified. All belts were made to length and fitted at the right tension in just three hours. The drive did not have to be fully dismantled; hence, downtime was minimized.
