Problem: Baggage handling conveyor uses short sections of V-belt driven flat belt conveyors to minimize downtime due to broken belts or faulty drives. With rubber V-belts, it was difficult to maintain the inventory of each belt needed to keep the several hundred conveyors in a major airport up and running in a timely manner.

Solution:
PowerTwist Plus V-Belts. The maintenance team can make the required length by hand (no tools!) and roll them on the drives. They stock 100' boxes of the correct V-section on hand and always have a complete inventory of every belt needed. Matched belts are no problem—just count the same number of links for each.
