Problem:
When bags don't pass the initial X-ray scan, they get flagged for further inspection. A baggage pusher bats them out of the queue of the regular baggage handling conveyor. This happens hundreds of times a day in a single terminal at a large, busy airport. The captive drive on this model means the whole drive must be dismantled to replace endless rubber V-belts. That can take over thirty minutes — downtime that means this important security function must be done manually.

Solution:
Because PowerTwist Plus V-Belts can be installed without dismantling the drive, installation time can be cut by over 20 minutes. Maintenance teams just measure, make belts endless by hand about the pulleys, and roll PowerTwist Plus right on the drive.
