In support of new extrusion-based manufacturing processes and new product development projects, this Engineer improves manufacturing efficiency through 6-Sigma/continuous improvement activities; increases process consistency between new processing equipment, production tooling standardization, and tooling design improvements; and simplifies the tasks of line operators by implementing advanced process automation technologies. We seek a leader who can collaborate effectively with process, tooling, product and quality engineering teams, decrease variability using DOE/6-Sigma, and suggest and navigate through automation/production changes.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 7+ years’ experience as a Process Engineer (APICS cert.), preferably with 5+ years’ background in profile extrusion. Experience with TPUs, AutoCAD and SolidWorks is a plus.

The Project Engineer manages projects associated with the acquisition, installation, and start-up of new capital equipment using the Capital Equipment Acquisition (CEA) Process. Will follow all project deliverables while achieving capital equipment cost and schedule commitments, production through-put targets, and product/process quality requirements. This leader must collaborate with production management, maintenance, quality, product engineering, tooling engineering, finance, product development, purchasing, process engineering and outside engineering companies, machine builders, and equipment vendors. The Process Engineer is accountable to NPD project managers and plant managers, and estimates the cost/time impact of various product design and production practices and alternatives.
Preferred candidates will have a BS in Electrical Engineering and 7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing setting to include 3+ years in managing capital acquisition projects that involve the use of custom-engineered manufacturing equipment. Must have excellent communication skills and be detail oriented. Project management training or certification preferred. Six-Sigma certification preferred.
