Application: Continuous Casting Machine

Problem:
Part of the casting operation was an automated system for drawing the castings out of the dies using a special profiled pulley mechanism to raise the product. However, each time the profile of the casting changed, the relevant pulleys had to be changed accordingly. Using conventional bushings, the result was frequent long periods of downtime while the pulleys were replaced.

Solution:
The Trantorque GT was installed. Its single nut tightening and self-aligning qualities ensured that the pulley assembly and subsequent disassembly times were significantly reduced.
