Fenner Precision Polymers Employee Spotlight - Jim Hoffer

Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst (33 yrs.)

Jim Hoffer, one of Fenner Precision Polymers' longest-tenured employees, can boast a remarkable 33-year journey with the company. Over that time he has served in various pivotal roles. In his current capacity as a Sr. Business Systems Analyst, Jim is tasked with implementing and supporting applications in our JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1) ERP system, a role perfectly suited for his extensive experience.

More specifically, his primary focus is the EnterpriseOne ERP system's application implementation and support, alongside the integration of other applications with E1. Jim is also part of the team responsible for integrating acquired businesses into the E1 ecosystem. His wealth of knowledge and readiness to assist colleagues have significantly enhanced the culture and the IT department's efficiency and reliability.

Jim fondly reminisces about the rich tapestry of memories woven over his 33 years at Fenner, attributing the company's success largely to the exceptional people he's worked with. His role in IT transcends technical boundaries, allowing him the opportunity to work closely with several business areas and build relationships with people across the organization. His favorite recollections, however, are not just about professional achievements, but the camaraderie and fun they shared as a team. From surprise birthday celebrations, to marking significant milestones, humorous office decorating pranks, and a legendary hidden squirrel incident. These shared moments of levity and team spirit are what he treasures the most.

Away from the office, he is a dedicated family man, often spending quality time with his loved ones. He met his wife, Beth, during his tenure at Fenner, and they have two children, Nathan, and Courtney. In addition, they actively participate in the Marching Band Booster Club, managing the French fry stand during football games, and attending Nathan's performances in the marching band.

Besides his corporate and family commitments, Jim is a committed volunteer with Junior Achievement, presenting programs to first and third-grade classes. His valuable work extends to teaching a Sunday School class for second through fourth graders, underlining his commitment to making a positive impact on his community.

A self-proclaimed hardcore Philadelphia sports fan, Jim enthusiastically supports the Phillies and Eagles, often sharing these moments with friends and family. His dedication, hard work, and commitment to helping others make him an invaluable member of our team. His story stands as a testament to his strong character and serves as an inspiration, demonstrating the beauty of putting the needs of others before oneself.
