Title: International Customer Service Manager
Joanne Horsman has been with Fenner Precision Polymers for more than 15 years. During that time, she has learned and contributed a great deal to help drive growth for the business and ensure it remains competitive.
Her day-to-day responsibilities include managing customer service for the UK, Europe, LATAM and APAC – all while being based out of the Leeds office.
The work she does varies greatly. At times it entails entering quotes, processing orders, and managing customer service. She also frequently supports the sales reps, overseeing regular shipments from the company’s warehouses in the Netherlands or Lincoln.
Joanne also works closely with the US team on stock transfers, safety stock, and with the warehouse teams for APAC & LATAM shipments. It’s a great deal of work and she is grateful for the support of her team members, Costi and Amber, based in the UK and Shanghai, respectively.
One of Joanne’s best memories is of the time when the international team travelled to the US to take part in the 2018 Spooky Nook Tough Mudder. She felt it was hard work, but a good team building experience to see everyone cheer each other on.
Her tight knit “Fenner family,” as she likes to call it, is one of the things she likes best about her job. The fact that they get to work together from a new office location in the city center of Leeds makes it all the more enjoyable.
At home or at work, Joanne’s family is the world to her. She has a 9-year-old daughter, three cats (one of them a rescue), and two Mini Lop rabbits. Some of her other favorite pastimes outside of work include socializing with the girls on a night out and cheering on the Leeds United football club. As a fan from a young age she just loved attending games. Her passion, however, is to travel as much as possible on family vacations. Few things make her happier than being on a beach with a refreshing beverage and spending time outdoors in nice weather.
