Fenner Precision Polymers Employee Spotlight - Priscilla Amparo

Priscilla Amparo is a prime example of how hard work pays off. Priscilla started at Fenner Precision Polymers three years ago and worked in both Sabre and Precision Belting. During her career at Fenner Precision Polymers she created a personal career development plan. Her conscientious attitude and diligence garnered her the reputation as a positive contributor to Fenner Precision Polymers. This led to her promotion seven months ago, from a Quality Group Leader to a role in Procurement as a Supply Chain Buyer.

As a Textile Buyer, she handles the procurement of woven fabric, tapes, and reinforcing yarns.  She supports a number of different areas of the business, including: Technical Textiles, Precision Belting, HPC, and Eagle. Her typical day involves running MRP (Material Requirements) , writing Purchase Orders, and interfacing with Planning, Operations and Suppliers. All of these tasks ensure that we have the right material, at the right place, at the right time, at the right cost.

Tim Weire, her current supervisor, describes his interaction with Priscilla this way, “It’s been wonderful working with Priscilla and having her on my team.  Her positive attitude is contagious, she’s always got a “can do” attitude, and is always full of energy.”

From her perspective the rewards are evident. Priscilla enjoys the diversity of her new job. She interacts with multiple people within Fenner Precision Polymers and with suppliers from around the world. She says, ”This ensures that no two days will be the same. There is never a dull moment when you get to work with so many diverse people.”

The rewards at work are a good balance to her gifts at home. She has three beautiful children ages 13, 11, and 6. Their busy sports schedules keep the family moving. The family loves to travel and they enjoy “the long hot summer days on the Florida beaches.”
